EA Access won’t require Xbox Live Gold Subscription
EA’s latest service, EA Access, won’t need an active Xbox Live Gold Membership in order for gamers to use it, according to IGN.
“When it launches, any Xbox One gamer can join EA Access and take advantage of the benefits of membership. In order to connect to multiplayer gameplay on the Xbox One platform you will need a subscription to Xbox Gold,” EA explained.
While not needed to use EA Access, we’re sure that Gold will be required for the online modes of those games. But if you are a singleplayer-only kind of gamer, this will save you a few bucks monthly.
If you are not up to speed with the latest news, EA Access is a service that will allow Xbox One owners to play several games published by EA at an incredible low price. For $4,99 a month you’ll be granted access to Battlefield 4, Madden NFL 25, FIFA 14 and Peggle 2 (more will be added in the future).
The service will be exclusive for Xbox One, and won’t be coming soon to PlayStation 4 as Sony rejected EA’s deal for their Access program.
