NIS America reveals new Class Trial screenshots for Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair
The sequel to the widely popular Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc is on its way (September 2 for NA fans, September 5 for Europe fans), and to celebrate the impending arrival, NIS has shared a new batch of screenshots that show off some of the new elements that will make up the Class Trial.
The first of three they showed off is called the Logic Dive. In this, you will skateboard down a glowing path, occasionally being interrupted by questions. You’ll have to answer correctly in order to continue down the correct path, and if you answer incorrectly you will be thrown off course and the Logic Dive will be reset.
The second is simply titled Hangman’s Gambit. In this one you will have to pick out the letters you require to spell out your key evidence as they fly across the screen. You get points for spelling correctly, and you can even fuse letters together in order to make larger (though stationary) letters that are worth even more. You’ll need to be careful, however, as the larger letters will detonate if you don’t use them quickly enough. In addition, if you allow mismatched letters to collide, you will take a large hit to your health bar.
Up last is the Rebuttal Showdown. You won’t be able to just speak as you wish this time, as characters can and will interrupt your arguments, forcing you to utilize evidence to cut down their counter-arguments in a one-on-one debate.
