Codemasters has revealed that F1 2014 will release on October 21st, 2014 for PC, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360. This will be the final “last-gen” release for the franchise as Codemasters also revealed F1 2015 today, being released on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
They’ve revealed the first gameplay video for F1 2014 as well:
F1 2014 incorporates the new rule changes from the sport’s 60 year history, including new aerodynamic regulations and turbocharged power units. Only two teams have kept the same drivers as the rest of the teams have an all new lineup, and new racing circuits have been added as well.
F1 2014 also hopes to be the most accessible entry in the franchise yet, using a new “Driver Evaluation System” to quickly identify the player ability and adjust the settings appropriately. You can be re-graded at any time to readjust the settings, or if you feel like challenging yourself, you can adjust the settings manually.
For F1 2015, it will release earlier in the Formula One season and will have digital updates to reflect the Formula One World Championship, allowing players to compete against the drivers and teams they watch week in and week out.
