Pure Pool heads to PS4 and Steam this month.

Today the independent developers, VooFoo Studios, and publisher Ripstone, announced that Pure Pool, the latest addition to the Pure series, will be arriving on PlayStation 4 (July 29 for Europe, July 30 for US) and PC via Steam (July 31).

This follows the success of VooFoo’s critically acclaimed Hustle Kings, which was released on the PlayStation 3. Since then, the developers have honed their craft and taken hyper-realism to a whole new level with Pure Pool. The game, which is renowned for “beautiful high definition graphics and silky-smooth gameplay” brings to life a bustling pool hall as you attempt to outplay your opponents in what they describe as “the ultimate pool game”.

Pure Pool offers four game modes in single player, which range from the classic America 8 Ball to Killer. In addition, it features four challenges, such as Royal Rumble and Perfect Potter, allowing you to refine your skills solo before you take on others across the world in the game’s multiplayer mode.

The game tracks your individual gaming style, monitoring traits (such as the length of time it takes for you to take a shot or the number of balls potted in quick succession) in order to create a unique DNA profile of you. This profile can then be used by your friends to play against you whether you are online or not.

What are your thoughts on what we know of the game?
