After chosing the 1080p, 60fps target for The Last of Us: Remastered, Naughty Dog has decided to choose the same one for Uncharted 4.

Naughty Dog’s community strategist Arne Meyer has spoken to Eurogamer and told them that the work they did on The Last of Us: Remastered has helped them to understand more about what PlayStation 4 can do and this is aiding them with the development of Uncharted 4.

“How far can we do it? Can we do a 1080p, 60fps game? We always wanted to do that, but for the types of effects we wanted to put on screen 720p30 was just fine. Now with the push to go even further that’s not fine enough. So we’re trying to rise to meet that kind of challenge too.”

Uncharted 4 is expected to be released sometime next year.
