Guest fighters will be returning to Mortal Kombat X.

Like the 2011 entry in the series, the upcoming fighter from NetherRealm will feature DLC with a guest character from outside the franchise.

“I think there’s a novelty to having a downloaded guest character,” series co-creator Ed Boon said in a video for Madcatz. “The chances of [having] at least one of them will be pretty good.”

The last entry featured Freddy Krueger, and Scorpion starred in Injustice: Gods Among Us in 2013.

Recently, Raiden was announced for the roster, but Boon said the game will have “more new MK characters since the first [Morton Kombat].”
