Smash Bros - Mario Patriot

So Nintendo has just posted a new screenshot for Super Smash Bros. for the Wii U that reveals a new alternate costume for Mario.

We suppose it ties in with 4th of July and all that. Or maybe Mario is a big fan of Apollo Creed (He IS in the ring after all).

Either way, that’s certainly an interesting look for the plumber.

It’s his NES Open Tournament Golf costume, or Famicom Tournament Golf: US Course in Japan. Also, Light Suit Samus colors from Metroid Prime 2.
