Capcom was proud to announce that one of the most popular in their Monster Hunter series has arrived on the App Store. This title, as you can see in the headline, is none other than Monster Hunter Freedom Unite, which is currently available for $14.99.

The game, which is an action role-playing game, was based on Japan’s Monster Hunter Portable 2nd G. It was released back in 2009 and became a global success, selling more than four million units worldwide (for those wondering about the sales of the full series, as of today they have reached more than 28 million units).

You must work together with other players in order to hunt down the ferocious and powerful beasts in the game, as well as progress through a wide range of quests. As you utilize the game’s combat system, you are rewarded, which Capcom states, “Encourages players to seek out the more experienced hunters and team up in order to learn from their expertise.”

This new version of the game features higher HD resolution (up to 2048×1536), controls that are optimized for touch screen functionality, new target camera options, support for controller peripherals (iPhone and iPod Touch), and seamless real-time co-op battles (up to four players) if you utilize a wireless connection.
