Forza Horizon 2’s Kinect feature is ANNA, an AI assistant

Forza Horizon 2 officially revealed.

Since Xbox One was released Microsoft has tried to implement a feature of any sorts in all their exclusive titles. So, we kinda expected for Forza Horizon 2 to have something for the no longer mandatory device Kinect.

Playground Games creative director Ralph Fulton has revealed to Examiner that Forza Horizon 2’s Kinect feature is an “digital personal assistant” called ANNA.

“Kinect will be involved with a feature called ANNA,” he said. “She is your digital personal assistant and navigation in the game. She is also very intelligent and will suggest things to do in the game and give you a recap when you return to the games. She will also alert you when friends are online.”

He also confirmed that Horizon 2 won’t feature a story mode, but will have a similar single player experience for those who are not that into multiplayer.

We understand there are lots of players like that,” he said. “What we don’t have is a story, per say. There is a really strong structure set up around the festival and the Drivatars. They really are the characters in the game. You form your own narratives with real people, friends, and family you know.”

To be honest, if you don’t have a Kinect I don’t think you be missing this feature a lot as it doesn’t seem to alter the game a lot. Forza Horizon 2 will hit the shelves on September 30.
