PlayStation Plus Battles: EU Vs. NA (6-26-14)

Mutant Mudds joins NA's IGC.

Mutant Mudds joins NA’s IGC.

The two regions gear up for the final round of the month, each one hoping to take down the other as they step into the ring for the last time in June. The EU aims to even things up, having won the first round, while NA wishes to expand their lead to three wins in a row.

The EU decides to kick things off, quickly hammering NA with a one-two jab combination with DC Universe Online: Home Turf and Last Laugh, each on sale and discounted 25% farther than the current sale price. They move on to jabbing NA in the gut with Blue Estate (PS4, 20% off until July 9), Another World (Cross-buy; PS4/Vita/PS3, 10% off until July 2), That Trivia Game (PS4, 50% off until July 16), and Warframe Renown Pack 1: Obsidian Yomo Syandana (20% off).

As NA staggers backwards, they rush in and unleash a flurry of assaults with a total of 69 more games on sale. The full list can be found on the official EU blog.

NA coughs up blood from the EU’s violent assault and attempts to strike back. They lead with a powerful right hook in the form of Mutant Mudds Deluxe (free). As the EU quickly recovers, NA begins their own assault, unleashing a barrage of 27 jabs to the other’s gut with titles such as Deception IV: Blood Ties (Vita and PS3. Vita: $39.99 regular, $27.99 sale, $19.59 PS+. PS3: $59.99 regular, $41.99 sale, $29.39 PS+) and Battlefield IV (PS3. Regular: $49.99, Sale: $34.99, PS+: $24.49). The full list can be found here.

The round ends on time and the referee is forced to make the decision as to which did the most damage. It’s a tough call, but the referee decides that the massive onslaught of 75 discounts was more than enough to counter the measly (in comparison) assault that NA launched. As a result the referee declares that EU is the winner of this week.

With NA having won the previous two weeks and EU winning the first and last, the regions are now tied up. As a result they must continue their battle into next month to try and find a winner. Which region will come out on top?
