On Thursday (6/26), Yacht Club Games will finally release their highly anticipated eShop title, Shovel Knight, for both the Wii U and Nintendo 3DS.

This 8-bit platform title is a pretty sweet throwback to the NES days that combines elements of Duck Tales and Castlevania., as you play as the Shovel Knight, who is on a quest to defeat the evil Enchantress and find his beloved.

Though also available on PC/Mac/Linux, the Nintendo versions feature Miiverse functionality on the Wii U and both 3D on the 3DS and a Battle Arena mode using StreetPass.
