Nordic Games, who picked up a few of THQ’s titles during a 2013 bankruptcy auction has now negotiated to take the THQ trademark, which allows them to publish games under that name.
A Nordic Games rep told Polygon that they will in fact do just that, noting that “nobody has ever heard about Nordic Games before [the auction]. There were so many articles with the headlines ‘Who the fuck is Nordic Games?’ We said, okay they were right,” said GM Klemens Kreuzer.
According to Kreuzer, the company has access to THQ’s Facebook and Twitter pages, as well as some of their core titles, such as Darksiders and MX vs. ATV.
Regarding a new Darksiders game, Kreuzer said that they will have something to say when the team is ready. He also noted that additional announcements were coming in August at Gamescom.
