E3 2014: Star Fox revealed for the Wii U
The popular Star Fox series has been hiding for a while, gathering its strength to make a triumphant return. Nintendo recently revealed that the game will be making said return on the Wii U console.
This title, simply called Star Fox, will incorporate both first and third person perspectives into the game. You will be able to use the gamepad as a standalone motion control device while playing. Looking at your television will show the first-person perspective, but if you want a third-person perspective all you have to do is look down at the gamepad.
The new game won’t feature the traditional setting of tight corners, instead allowing gamers to utilize a new open sense of flight. In addition, you will be able to go from being a pilot to operating a tank on the ground with a simple button press.
Upon being asked why they decided to utilize E3 as the event to unveil the title at, Shigeru Miyamoto stated, “Originally we weren’t targeting E3 as the announcement time for the Star Fox game and in developing it we really came to like it. And I also wanted to motivate ourselves to complete the game as quickly as possible.”
