Quick Start Menu.
Yesterday a brand new system update went live for Nintendo’s Wii U console. This update introduced several changes to enhance the user experience, including an improved user setting and selection experience.
The update also added in the ability to download and install future updates with the console in standby mode, as well as allowing notifications to be accessed from both the Home Menu and the Wii U Menu. In addition to these updates, they have made it easier to setup a Nintendo Network ID..
For those who may not notice the alerts otherwise, or simply for those who prefer larger alerts, they have implemented the option of displaying full-screen alerts and notifications on the GamePad controller, regardless of if the system is in standby mode or not. Said notifications will inform owners of updates, game releases, and promotions from Nintendo while allowing users to adjust how they receive them.
The final, and perhaps most noteworthy, change is the addition of a Quick Start Menu to the GamePad. This menu displays the icons of the 10 most-used games and applications on your system as it boots.
Do these updates please you?
