List reveals Metroid Prime Wii U, The Legend of Zelda Wii U at E3 2014: analysis

Another site is reporting another rumor. Surprise. Today, it’s that Nintendo will be showing off a new Metroid Prime game for the Wii U.

There hasn’t been a new console Metroid game for a while, and the last one wasn’t necessarily well-received. It might be time for Nintendo to win back some fans and get people to think about buying a Wii U again. There’s no listed developer. It could be Retro, but that’s unlikely since whatever its working on has only been in development for a few months. It’s possible they could be showing off a quick teaser, but I’d like to think Nintendo would have more to show, especially for a big event like E3. Either way, if true, it’s sure to get people excited.

The other games on the list are pretty predictable. It would be a great time for Nintendo to show off The Legend of Zelda game on the Wii U it teased when the system was first shown off. It’s time to give that system something other than Mario.

Yarn Yoshi is on the list. Remember that game? Maybe Nintendo hasn’t forgotten about it.

And of course Super Smash Bros. will be there. Maybe they’ll announce a release date and pricing for the just-announced Gamecube adapter for the Wii U. That’s sure to make the transition to Wii U a bit easier for hardcore Smash players. Or not. It’ll mostly depend on how good the game is.

Nintendo has become pretty predictable in terms of games, let’s hope all the surprised haven’t been given up. As usual, you have to be incredibly careful around any rumors like this. Most of them are incorrect. But it’s fun to speculate, isn’t it?

Monoliths X has to be in it. If Metroid isn’t coming, X will be the titles to draw medias attention.

metroid prime would be incredible!!!!! i love my Wii u and hope that at some point it gets the respect it deserves. not everything needs to be about specs, i mean you can hardly tell the difference, if at all, between the latest flagship smartphone screens anymore. they all look great. come on people, pick up on the wiiu,s greatness. oh and ubisoft, you can smell my farts before i buy another game from you for ditching the wiiu version of watchdogs until sometime later this year. that game screams for the wiiu gamepad you dumb butts.

Wait, where in that list does it say Metroid? It says Hyrule Warriors, Zelda, Smash Bros, Yoshi, and Pokemon, with nothing saying Metroid whatsoever.
