DRAKERZ-Confrontation is the very first augmented reality game designed for PC and is already a success throughout Europe. After reading that, you may be wondering why a game that’s already a success is heading to a crowdfunding platform. The answer is simple: The developers are trying to obtain the funds to support the upcoming United States version.

The game, developed by the France-based company, PEOLEO Entertainment, combines a trading card game and a free-to-play online PC game utilizing a patented augmented reality engine. You, a “Drakerz” in the game, collect physical premium cards that are shown to players’ webcam. These are used to call the legendary creatures known as “Drakos”, which appear in an arena and fight virtually.

“After building momentum through a successful launch last year in Europe, DRAKERZ-Confrontation is ready to expand its audience through a U.S. release,” said Benoit Coupez, CEO of PEOLEO Entertainment. “In order to broaden and enhance DRAKERZ-Confrontation, the funding from Kickstarter is crucial and we’re optimistic about the support we’ll receive from players.”

If you want to support the title, the Kickstarter can be found here.
