With less than one month until the start of 20th Electronic Entertainment Expo, known as E3 2014, everybody is ready to take a backseat on the Hype Train. All the three biggest players of this industry (Microsoft, Sony and Nintendo) have started the buzz early and have already announced the time and dates of their shows.
Microsoft has gone farther by announcing early this week some of their future plans regarding Xbox such as: a non-Kinect version of Xbox One for $399, Xbox One Games with Gold, Free Xbox Live Entertainment Apps for Silver Users or a New User Interface for Xbox One.
Furthermore, the usual rumors have started spreading all over the internet saying that we should expect for big announcements at this E3. Some of them refer to a possible version of GTA V for the new consoles, a new Fallout game, a sequel to Ryse, Darksiders 3, Halo 2 Anniversary Edition, God of War 4 or The Last Guardian.
But before we all get crazy by those rumors, I invite you to go with me on a journey filled with GIFS. GIFS that express the spirit of E3, making you wish that June 9th to come more quickly and, hopefully, making you smile. Let the journey begin!

First stop of the train is Microsoft. Things have changed since last May, when Don Mattrick presented for the first time the Xbox One console. We all remember what a disaster that conference was, with Yusuf Mehdi and Marc Whitten from the Xbox Division talking about TV, TV, TV; Andrew Wilson from Electronic Arts talking about Sports, Sports, Sports and with Nancy Tellem telling us that Xbox One is “the new water cooler”. But all of that and the DRM thing is part of the past. Xbox has a new boss, who is also the head of Microsoft Studios: Phil Spencer. In only one month and a half since he took the new job, Phil has already made a couple of changes in order to put the Xbox One on the right track.

Some of the changes he made were announced this week and all of them made the Xbox community to smile again and to have faith in the future. I have already mentioned them, but I will do it again because they are very important for the Xbox users: releasing a non-Kinect version of Xbox One for $399, launching Xbox One Games with Gold, making Free some of the Xbox Live Entertainment Apps for Silver Users and developing a New User Interface for Xbox One.

He has already declared that Microsoft’s E3 2014 Press Conference will be focusing on the games, announcing new IPs and new chapters of their successful franchises like Halo 5: Guardians and, why not, a new Gears of War game !? With that kind of leadership, Sony has to wake up because Phil Spencer says:

We travel farther with the hype game and take a look at Sony’s training camp. Rumors say that the Japanese company is preparing some big announcements for their press conference. Games like Uncharted 4, God of War 4, DriveClub, Destiny and The Order: 1886 could be on the stage in a form or in another.

All their fans are expecting from Sony to win again E3 like they did last year with the PS4 price tag, supporting the indie developers and allowing gamers to trade their games. They beat Microsoft at E3 2013, but will they do it again?

As I said, Microsoft are stepping up this year and until this moment they got all their facts right, while Sony stays quiet. But if Sony announces something about The Last Guardian, nobody can stop the Hype Train!

What about Nintendo? Well they will not host an E3 press conference for the second year in a row…

Instead they will have a Digital Event, which will be streamed online on June 10. So all the Nintendo fans must prepare because when the power of Mario, Zelda, Samus, Olimar and Kirby will be combined a disturbance in the force it will be!

We are nearly at the end of this trip and I want to say to you that it does not matter if Team Xbox will be The Avengers this year…

Or if Team PlayStation will retain the title…

Because in the end…

The real winners are all of us, the gamers! The ones that support the developers by buying their products and play them for our entertainment. The people that Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo are fighting over.
With all being said I will write down below the schedule of the press conferences and wish you to have a great E3!
