NIS America has proudly announced that their popular strategy RPG, Disgaea 4: A Promise Revisted, will be arriving on the PlayStation Vita on August 12 in North America (August 29 for Europe).

This title won’t simply be a port, however, as it will feature several enhancements and new content to lure in even the veterans of the game. The new content includes brand-new scenarios that are exclusive to this version of the title. These scenarios add In more backstory to some of the fan favorite characters in the title.

In addition to the extra scenarios, new characters will be showing up. They won’t all be entirely new, however, as some characters from the previous Disgaea titles will be making cameo appearances. There will also be new spells, job specific techniques, and other gameplay enhancements.

If you’re curious as to if you’d have to repurchase the downloadable content that you already have on your PS3, the answer is no. The Vita version includes all downloadable content, as well as brand new music tracks, granting the game nearly 100 tunes.

Are you excited about this announcement?
