According to Chief Marketing & Strategy Officer Yusuf Mehdi, Microsoft intends to redesign the Xbox One’s user interface in order to better suit controllers.
After the announce of releasing a Kinect-less Xbox One, Mehdi told Engadget that the console’s user interface will be adjusted because without using a Kinect the user interface “it’s a mess”.
“We do want to find ways to give you some of those shortcuts and make some of the things that we have with Kinect easier with the controller” Yusuf Mehdi said. “You can expect to see us do a bunch of things over the coming months to make the experience easier and easier, even if you don’t have a Kinect.”
He also mentioned that the changes will likely arrive after E3 2014. If you did not hear it until now, Xbox One will be available without the Kinect from June 9th for $399.
