Ubisoft giving Wii U version of Watch Dogs “attention it deserves”
Now that Ubisoft has a release date set for Watch Dogs on Sony and Microsoft’s consoles, as well as on PC, the publisher is finally getting focused on the previously delayed Wii U version.
Speaking to Red Bull, creative director Jonathan Morin says that with the game experiencing some odd bugs, the team had to delay the game to make time for various fixes. However, due to the delay of the PS3, PS4, PC, Xbox One and Xbox 360 versions, the Wii U version had to get pushed back further.
Though there’s no release date just yet, Morin says that the Wii U version is currently being worked despite him not being directly involved.
“We wanted to finish all the platforms that we are currently shipping. We needed those guys to get finished, and the good news now is that they’re all fully focused on the Wii U version, making sure it gets the attention it deserves to make it the best version it can be,” said Morin.
So with the Wii U version now getting the undivided attention of the development team, can Ubisoft deliver a top-notch experience on Nintendo’s console? Only time will tell.
