The next Call of Duty game was supposed to be revealed on Sunday, per Activision, but Destructoid has gotten a hold of a lengthy trailer and a handful of screenshots of the game.
According to a “trusted source”, the next COD game will be called Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare and will focus on a private military company headed up by a character played by actor Kevin Spacey, that has double crossed the U.S. government.
The trailer, which you can see here, [Activision has now confirmed it and released an HD trailer] shows a futuristic theme, with plenty of high-tech weapons, and soldiers wearing exosuits. There’s even a set of gloves that can allow for soldiers to crawl up buildings.
At the end of the trailer, the release date is displayed as November 4, which would fall in line with previous Call of Duty games that have been released during the same month.
This looks completely legit, but we’ll be waiting for the full reveal on Sunday.
