Graphic designer Pete Hottelet, who makes a living off of creating awesome products based off of TV and movie props is about to make plenty of gamers happy.
As you can see above, Hottelet has created an oven mitt that is designed to look like Nintendo’s Power Glove. Hottelet says he made a few back in 2012 but found that a ton of people wanted one, so he’s granting their wishes, by way of an IndieGoGo campaign, that has already met it’s crowd-funding goal.
The glove, which sells for $39 in the U.S. (but there are offers for international shipping or orders of more than one) is expected to be available in September.
“The glove is molded from heat-resistant silicone rubber, so it’s one-size-fits most, designed for the right hand. If your palm is about 4.0″ wide, it should fit your hands with no issues. (If the campaign goes over 1,000 units, I’ll have another mold made for people with larger hands — if it goes over 1,500 units, I’ll make a left-handed version),” said Hottelet via a statement on the glove’s page.
So if you fancy a Power Glove, but don’t want to dish out for the real thing, and hell, if you need an oven mitt anyway, here’s your chance to get one.
That’s really all there is to it. I don’t plan to make a million of these things, so if you want one, this is your chance to get one.
