Avalanche 2 adds RPG elements to an endless climber.
Did you enjoy the 2007 endless climber, Avalanche? If so, then you may be interested to hear that Avalanche 2: Super Avalanche is currently on Steam Greenlight, and is looking for your help to arrive on Steam. If you want to help it, all you have to do is play the new demo that Beast Games released today and vote.
The game, for those wondering, integrates an RPG twist. Drawing inspiration from the popular modern roguelikes, such as Spelunky and Binding of Isaac, every game will be different. The title features shops, upgrades, NPCs, and boss battles, making Avalanche 2 much more than your average climber.
The game places you right back into the role of a marshmallow hero as it powers through an endless shower of blocks. There will be over 100,000 possible combinations of power-ups as well as over one million customization combos. As the marshmallow hero gets ever closer to the heavens brand new block types, enemies, and environments will keep the action fresh. The game also includes a local two-player cooperative mode, allowing you and a friend to tackle the game as you struggle to climb as high as possible.
If the title interests you, you can check out the official website. If you decide to pre-order the game, you will receive a Steam or Desura code upon launch.
