The Amazing Spider-Man 2 delayed for Xbox One, not canceled
We’ve seen several rumours in the past few days regarding the delay of The Amazing Spider-Man 2 for Xbox One. Some of them even mentioned the fact that the game might be canceled for Microsoft’s next-gen console, but we managed to reach Activision and find the truth buried under piles of speculations.
It’s now confirmed that the game will arrive at a later date on the Xbox One, while the other versions (PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Nintendo Wii U, Nintendo 3DS and PC) will be releasing as previously announced. Sadly, we don’t actually know the reason behind this, but the developer said that they are working close with Microsoft to release the game on Xbox One as well.
We certainly hope that the game will be released on Xbox One rather sooner than later, as many fans are waiting for the new Spider-Man titles. You have the official statement below:
We are working with Microsoft in an effort to release The Amazing Spider-Man 2 video game on Xbox One. Currently, the game will be available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Nintendo Wii U, Nintendo 3DS and the PC on 2nd May, 2014 as previously announced.
