iPong: The Game features several powerups.

iPong: The Game features several powerups.

After making several announcements regarding the date of the release of a first playable demo of the upcoming indie game, iPong: The Game, the demo has arrived today for free. This demo was released by the developers after followers of the game requested it via social networks.

Ivano Cheers, the game designer, stated that “iPong: The Game is virtually completed and all the available versions are in the final stage of the testing.” (For those unaware, the versions mentioned are for Windows, Mac, iOS, and Android.) The first video trailer, which shows off several of the game’s features, has also been released, and can be seen below.

The demo will allow you to play the first level of the Arcade Tournament and show you the opponent of the second level, though you will be unable to play said opponent. The game, for those unaware, is targeted towards retro gamers who want to feel like they’re playing the original Pong, but with modern graphics, sound, and more options.

When asked why the price of the game will be low, the developers answer that it is “because iPong: The Game was born as a little retro nostalgic game and its price will be affordable for any kind of budget.”

If you try out the demo, please share your opinions of the title!

I’m Ivano and I am the game designer. I hope everybody understands how important (in gaming) is to keep the feeling that only old games gave us, that’s why we developed iPong, to keep that feeling on.
