Saladin returns from the original game to take part in the sequel.
Today Firefly Studios has released brand new gameplay footage of their upcoming title, Stronghold Crusader 2, which shows off one of the eight unique AI characters that will be featured at launch, Saladin.
The developers speak about and expand upon the video’s content, stating, “A classic character returning from the original Stronghold: Crusader, the Saladin is essentially a good guy in Stronghold Crusader 2.” They add that, once you’ve managed to defeat the Crusader campaign, you will be able to play as Saladin himself as he struggles to take back the holy lands from Richard the Lionheart and the invading Crusader hordes.
They also state, “t want to change too much with regards to his play style. As such when it comes to choice of units and AI behaviour it is largely business as usual, the difference comes when we start attacking Saladin and seeing just how he reacts.”
