Gameforge and Robot Entertainment announce that Orcs and Players Must Die!
Orcs Must Die! Unchained features PVP.
Today Gameforge and Robot Entertainment announced that millions of corpses will be added to the orc pile as they revealed Orcs Must Die! Unchained, the newest multiplayer game in their award-winning Orcs Must Die! series.
For those who haven’t played the original, the Orcs Must Die! game is a Fortress Siege game in which teams of heroes battle head-to-head in order to both attack and defend several ancient strongholds. The newest game in the series, however, takes things to a new level, pitting players against players as each attempts to set up traps and take down the opposing fortress.
Carsten van Husen, CEO of Gameforge AG states, “Fans of the bestselling series may have already guessed so: our collaboration with Robot Entertainment relates to Orcs Must Die! – critically acclaimed and bought in the millions. Orcs Must Die! Unchained is online and multiplayer – just the way we like it. The next step in our triple A strategy!”
Robot Entertainment’s CEO, Patrick Hudson, adds, “We’re incredibly excited to greatly expand the universe and style of gameplay in Orcs Must Die!, After the first game, fans told us they wanted cooperative gameplay, and we were thrilled to deliver it in Orcs Must Die! 2. After the sequel, we heard the cry for competitive gameplay. Orcs Must Die! Unchained is an answer to that and much more. It’s a realisation of Robot’s ambition for what the franchise could ultimately become. It’s bigger, deeper and meatier. We hope fans enjoy playing it as much as we have enjoyed testing it.”
