Villagers and Heroes heads to Steam

Villagers and Heroes receives a new expansion with Steam release.

Villagers and Heroes receives a new expansion with Steam release.

The popular free-to-play fantasy MMO, Villagers and Heroes will be arriving on Steam later this month.

For those unaware, this is an indie MMO that features player-created towns and sandbox-style crafting. The game gives you the power to influence the future of an entire living village as you quest, craft, and slay monsters. Of course in this game the village is much more than a simple respite from danger, but is rather a communal center that can advance from a tiny hamlet to a thriving metropolis through player contributions.

The Steam version of the game will also include the expansion Fury of the Stone Lord, which is featured in the above trailer. This expansion introduces Lord Pyrrus and his army of gargoyles. If you want to discover the mysteries behind Lord Pyrrus you will have to infiltrate his sanctum and “wade through the dangerous sea of stone monstrosities rampaging within,” as the company puts it.

The full list of new features can be found below:

New Features:
– 30 new Adventure Maps, bringing the total to over 110.
– Countless new quests, beasts, and…Dragons.
– 20 new spells and heroic feats, now totaling over 100.
– 15 additional skill levels.
– Completely revamped graphics engine.

Will you be trying out this MMO when the game arrives on Steam?
