The release of Titanfall on Xbox 360 is imminent, but we haven’t yet seen any footage of this version of the game or heard any details from the developers.
Today, Daryl Allison, Senior Producer at Bluepoint Games, the studio responsible for porting the game, has revealed how the Xbox 360 version compares to it’s counterparts on Xbox One and PC. He mentions Xbox 360 owners will get the complete Titanfall experience: all maps, modes, weapons and customizations. The 6vs6 players gameplay is still there, including the parkour elements, but some performance differences exist because of the last gen console’s limitations. According to Daryl the game will run at a framerate “above 30 fps”, below the 60 fps the game achieves on the other platforms. Very possibly, the resolution has also been reduced but he didn’t make a statement about it.
Titanfall on the Xbox 360 is the true experience: all the maps, modes, pilots, titans, weapons, burn cards, you name it, found in the Xbox One and PC versions. The game looks great, sounds great, and above all it plays great. There are of course some technical differences that are due to the technical limitations of the hardware – for example, the game runs above 30fps – but rest assured, the intense 6v6 wall-running, titan dropping action is all there.
