Final Fantasy XIV enters second Beta for PS4.

If you’ve been eagerly awaiting the day you could play Square’s MMO on your PlayStation 4, you’re in luck today. The company has revealed that the game has entered the second Beta Test Phase for the PlayStation 4 system.

What does this mean? It means that you will be able to participate in the game’s Beta for free, providing you have access to a PlayStation 4 system. The steps to get started are simple. First you need to open up the PlayStation Store and download the Beta. Once it’s downloaded and you run the game, you’ll need to either login with your Square ID or, if you lack one, register.

This second Beta phase utilizes live servers so you will be able to join gamers who are already enjoying the title on PC or the PlayStation 3. You will also be able to use existing characters in this Beta, so if you’ve already started it on one of the other systems you won’t lose progress once you start playing on Sony’s newest console.

This phase will last until 1:00 A.M. PDT on April 7. The official service begins when the game is released on April 14, and if you pre-order the game (either version) you will be able to join the Early Access planned for April 11.

Will you be participating in the second Beta?
