Star Conflict now supports the Oculus Rift.

This game, for those who are unaware of it, is a free-to-play space MMO currently available on Steam. It was created by Star Gem Inc., an independent studio, and published by Gaijin Entertainment. The game’s new update allows the MMO to run on both Linux and the Oculus Rift, allowing gamers to sit in the cockpit of their very own spaceship as they engage in intergalactic battles.

Stanislav Skorb, Director at Star Gem Inc. stated, “We believe that gamers need as many options as possible. Our goal is to provide them with freedom of choice to pick which operating system better suits their needs. Thanks to our new update Star Conflict supports all popular operating systems: Windows, Mac OS, and now Linux (through Steam). And Linux support means that in the future Star Conflict will be available on all gaming platforms based on this OS.”

To help celebrate the two-year anniversary of the game the companies are offering massive discounts for in-game purchases as well as free premium account access for everybody starting today through April 7, 2014.
