Upcoming Lord of the Rings game to be set between Hobbit and main trilogy
Newest LotR game releases on October 7, 2014.
Most Lord of the Rings games have been noted for sticking to the original trilogy, or at least the film versions of the trilogy. The upcoming game, Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor, however, aims to change that trend. The game will be set between the original Hobbit and the main Lord of the Rings trilogy.
The game trailer, which you can see above, shows off the protagonist, a ranger-turned-partly-wraith by the name of Talion. He’s had his wife and child murdered before being turned (partially) into an undead being and is out to resolve these horrible issues.
Lord of the Rings: Shadows of Mordor is currently slated for an October 7, 2014 release for Sony’s PlayStation 3 and 4 as well as PC and Microsoft’s Xbox 360 and One.
What do you think of the game so far? Will it be interesting, or does it just seem like more of the same generic fare?
