Longest Journey creator unveils first teaser for their next game
What happened in the fishing village? Will you survive long enough to discover the truth?
The next game from the creator of Longest Journey is a survival horror-adventure game inspired by fairy tales and legends. The game, titled Draugen has received its first teaser trailer today, and some have said that it looks like, “Gone Home meets Amnesia“.
The game, some may recall, was initially presented by Red Thread Games back in October. It takes place in a Norwegian fishing village back in 1923, and, for those wondering, the name is taken from an undead creature in Norse mythology.
In the game you will be exploring a remote fishing village where every single inhabitant has mysteriously vanished. As you gather clues in your explorations you will discover the truth behind what happened to the small village. Also, as the game page states, “From time to time, a woman in black can be spotted in the distance. Who is she, and what is her connection to this place? Who is the little girl singing broken lullabies as the sky begins to darken? And when night falls, and those last few, precious drops of kerosene in the lamp feed a fragile, flickering flame, what hides out there in the darkness and in the cold, black sea?”
Will this be a title that horror fans will enjoy? We’ll find out in 2015.
