Frostbite’s April Fools’ is rather mean to Nintendo

Frostbite page takes APF too far.

Frostbite page takes APF too far.

For those who have been following the company, you likely already know that EA is on the list of publishers that won’t be making any new Wii U games because “the console isn’t powerful enough to handle the Frostbite engine”. Well, the official Frostbite page has taken the abuse of Nintendo a bit farther this April Fools’.

Though whoever runs the official page has deleted the Tweets, we can share just how mean the person posting was, thanks to our friends at Kotaku. The first can be seen in the picture above.

The second Tweet not only kicks Nintendo, but also kicks Half-Life fans, stating “Frostbite will power #HalfLife3, coming out summer 2014! #WiiU exclusive.”

They seem to go on and kick themselves, considering their history with netcode, especially with Sim City last year. Their third Tweet stated, “Good news, we have finally optimized our ‘netcode’. Uses quantum entanglement for Zero Latency connections. Exclusively on #WiiU.”

What do you think? Funny, or were the posters just trying to be mean?
