Atlus’s rebirth includes a new logo

Which logo do you prefer?

Which logo do you prefer?

Some readers may recall that Atlus, as the corporate entity, was going to be going through a rebirth of sorts on April 1, 2014. Today it appears that part of this rebirth is a new, simpler logo, which you can see above (as well as the original/older logo for comparison).

Because today is April Fools’, many are looking at the logo change and claiming (and hoping, in some cases) that it is simply a prank. Many seem to dislike the logo, saying that it looks hideous, too simplistic, or even too compressed. There are a few, however, who say that the logo change doesn’t matter, and there are even a couple of people who like said change.

This logo, for those wondering, is currently on the official Japanese Twitter, Facebook, and Persona Channel websites.

Honestly, if they continue to bring us awesome games, this writer is fine with the change. I do honestly prefer the old logo, but it won’t have an impact on how I view the company as a whole.

What about you? Do you like, hate, or perhaps are indifferent to the updated logo?
