Bravely Default sells 200,000 units in 3 weeks.
Last night Nintendo revealed that Bravely Default has been rather successful since it’s release back on February 7.
Just how successful was it, you wonder? Said Nintendo, “In early 2013, Fire Emblem Awakening launched for Nintendo 3DS and became one of the surprise hits of the year. Bravely Default, which launched for Nintendo 3DS on Feb. 7, improved on the launch of Fire Emblem Awakening by more than 10 percent, selling more than 200,000 combined units in just over three weeks.”
For those wondering, this could be good news for gamers because the producers of the game had previously stated that whether those in the West would see Bravely Second, the sequel, would depend on how well Bravely Default sold. It seems to be doing quite well, so it looks like RPG fans should be able to look forward to playing the sequel, though no official announcement has been made as of yet. We’ll keep you informed as we learn the plans of the producers.
