Super Smash Brothers Melee appears in Evo for second year in a row.

It wasn’t that long ago that Nintendo didn’t want their fighting game, Super Smash Brothers Melee to appear in the upcoming Evo event, and as a result the lists of games that would be featured at the event did not include the popular brawler.

This decision led to several gamers posting in various boards to try and get the popular game back on the lineup and today Nintendo has relented, allowing the game to officially join the Evo 2014 roster. This will mark the second consecutive year that Super Smash Brothers Melee will be played at the event with Mango having won the Super Smash Brothers tournament last year.

For those wondering, this year the event will be held at none other than the Las Vegas Hotel & Casino. Gamers from all around the world will convene to compete in championships spanning seven of today’s most popular fighting game. This tournament will take place from July 11 to July 13, 2014.

Thanks, Shoryuken.
