Xbox One users are having trouble signing into Xbox Live (Update: Login issues fixed, services still limited)
Xbox One users can’t sign into Xbox Live.
Many Xbox One gamers are eagerly turning on their consoles to jump into their favorite next-generation games, only to find out that they can’t actually access Xbox Live.
What’s causing this issue is a mystery, and Microsoft’s Xbox Live Status page doesn’t really provide any more details. All it states at the time of this post is that the core services are limited. It does assure gamers that the issues are limited to Xbox One, but all it really says is, “Hi Xbox members, did you run into issues when trying to sign into Xbox Live? We’re hard at work investigating this issue right now. Thanks for being patient while we work. We’ll send another update in 30 minutes.”
What could be causing these issues? We’ll keep you updated as we learn more.
Update: Microsoft has posted the following on the server page, “Were you experiencing issues signing in to Xbox Live? We are very happy to say that our team has fixed the problem and the Live service is ready and waiting. If you are experiencing any lingering issues, try a cold reboot of your Xbox by powering down, unplugging, waiting 10 seconds, plugging back in and powering back on. Thanks for all your patience while our team was working. Have fun!”
Currently Netflix on Xbox One and YouTube on both Xbox 360 and One are having issues, however, so the services are still listed as limited.
