New Thief patch supposedly fixes crash issues
Some gamers have been experiencing crashes in the new Thief game, an issue that Eidos has recently released a patch to fix.
In addition to fixing the crashing issue that occurs once you’ve loaded a new game or benchmark (something the company notes is often seen on the Intel GPUs), they’ve fixed the depth-of-field issue that occurs when you peek through keyholes. Some gamers have also noted that when they enable the “Invert mouse X/Y” option, it wouldn’t be saved, which this patch also addresses.
In addition to these fixes the game’s memory usage has been optimized and there have been some minor user interface improvements. Finally, some may have noticed stereoscopic 3D inconsistencies in the option menus, which the company has fixed by forcing VSync on and Triple-Buffering off.
