After only a month since Sony released a PlayStation 3 update, now they updated the PlayStation 4 firmware as well. The v1.61 firmware is now live across all PS4s and it’s mandatory.
Mandatory means, of course, that the firmware is required in order to connect to PlayStation Network and enjoy the online features of the console. When asked about what the new update has to offer, Sony replied with the fact that it “provides general enhancements to the PS4 system’s stability”.
That’s quite vague in my opinion, but we’ll have to take it as it is.
