ESPN FC Champions Cup Tournament Final to air live on ESPN 2

In two days, Wednesday, February 5, 2014, ESPN, EA SPORTS, and Virgin Gaming’s online global tournament, the ESPN FC Champions Cup, ends live on ESPN television. The final showdown pits the UK’s Nicholas Joyce against Spain’s Victor Munoz battling it out on one Xbox 360 to determine the ultimate winner of $2,500 USD and an all expense paid trip to Bristol Connecticut for a behind the scenes tour of ESPN’s studios.

The free-to-enter tournament for premium and non-premium users was hosted by Virgin Gaming and included more than 6,400 participants who played over 100,000 games over four weeks. The tournament included players across the US, Canada, the UK, Germany, Spain, France, Brazil, and Latin America. The participants went through a 16 person bracketed semifinal round on January 24-25, which consisted of three rounds of single elimination games leading up to the champion of each console.

So, be sure to watch ESPN 2 live this Wednesday at 5:30PM ET to see who comes out the winner of the ESPN FC Champions Cup.
