2K Sports removes all signs of MLB 2K

Some gamers may have been expecting 2K to announce that MLB 2K will make “One last game” this year, as they had in 2013 at around this time. If so, they may be a bit disappointed, as the company has taken steps to ensure that nobody expects another MLB game from them.

These steps are to completely remove all traces of any and all MLB games from their official website. If you go there and run a search for “MLB”, you will be given exactly zero results. This means that the forum no longer houses any sections for MLB and yes, even the MLB 2K Facebook page has been completely deleted.

Other gamers have pointed out that MLB 2K12, 2K11, and 2K10 have been completely removed from Steam, and the MLB 2K13 website has been completely deleted as well. As a result, the announcement by SCEA that MLB 14: The Show will be the only baseball game on next-generation consoles appears to be quite true, and has proven that, despite what some fans may have been hoping, there won’t even be a MLB 2K14 on the PS3 or Xbox 360.

What are your thoughts on the loss of the MLB 2K franchise?

Thanks, Pastapadre.
