According to Nintendo, the online issues it experienced during the holidays due to an influx of new hardware getting connected to the network, appears to be taken care of.
“We sincerely apologize for this week’s inconsistencies and thank you again for your patience and support,” said Nintendo through their Twitter account. “We do not anticipate any further outages, but will continue to closely monitor the situation.”
We’ve tested out getting not just online to play but also into the eShop on the Wii U and 3DS this morning and didn’t come across any connection issues either, so it’s good to see everything up and running again.
As for the Pokemon Bank and Poke Transporter apps, both are still a no-show, as they were supposed to be released on Dec. 27 but were delayed due to the network problems.
On their Twitter account, Nintendo said, “We will share more information about the launch of Pokémon Bank and Poké Transporter as soon as possible.”
