Bravely Default receives demo on January 2
For those of you eagerly awaiting the game Bravely Default, we have good news for you. A free demo of the game will be launching in the Nintendo eShop on January 2, 2014.
This demo is a bit different from the standard demo fare, however. Unlike most demos, this one will be a completely exclusive story that will feature several hours of content that you won’t be able to access in the full game.
For those wondering, the full game will launch on February 7, 2013 at $39.99. We’ve also learned that if you close your system while the game is active, you have the chance to pick up brand new warriors thanks to the StreetPass feature. You will also earn Sleep Points for every eight cumulative hours of down time.
These points can be utilized during battle to perform various actions, such as reviving a fallen ally, changing your equipment, healing your characters, or even unleashing an attack utlizing damage beyond the game’s typical damage cap. Of course, if you don’t want to just wait for the Sleep Points to gater, you can purchase potions in the eShop that will refill all three of your SP at once.
Finally, Nintendo revealed that a Collector’s Edition will be launching on February 7 as well. This will include the game, an art book, a soundtrack CD, and 34 augmented-reality cards that the player will be able to utilize. This edition will be priced at $49.99.
