Youtube’s official statement on the new Content ID system and how it affects gaming channels
After two weeks in which Youtube has claimed a good amount of video that included gaming footage with the new Content ID system, they now have decided to send out creators an email to clear things out.
Most of things are already known, but they now outline their latest feature that allows users to delete copyrighted music from their already published videos.
This means that they are allowing gamers to post their footage, but it will more then likely get matched, and a 3rd party will gain the revenue. It’s a good year to be on Youtube!
