PSN undergoing maintenance today

Some PSN passwords reset following "irregular activity".

For those who are firing up their PS3s and PS4s this morning only to find out that they can’t connect, Sony currently has the PlayStation Network under maintenance which begun at 11 a.m. PT and will run through about 4 p.m. PT.

“In order to continue to deliver you the best online games experience, we will be performing maintenance to upgrade the software for the PlayStation Store,” said Sony on their official blog.

You may run into a message that says “Sony  Entertainment Network is undergoing maintenance” when trying to go to the PlayStation Store or PlayStation Home, so don’t fret.  If you signed into PSN within 5 days prior to the maintenance, you may be able to play some games or use apps during this time.

During our current maintenance some authenticated users may have lost access. We apologize for this inconvenience and are working hard to restore access as soon as possible,” said the statement.
