Gamers may recall that a while back, DICE announced a Player Appreciation Program as a sort of apology for the issues that Battlefield 4 is facing. Today they’ve given out a new item as part of that program.

This item is the M1911 pistol scope, which had previously been exclusively available to DICE developers. The item is currently accessible in Battlefield 4’s PC version, and the company expects it to arrive on all other platforms later in the day.

The scope itself allows a 3X zoom, and if you were worried that your class wouldn’t be able to use it, you shouldn’t be. There is no class restriction on the pistol scope.

Finally, in order to receive this scope, you must have the M1911 pistol unlocked. If you already meet that criteria, then all you need to do is go into a loadout screen in-game, equip the pistol, and hit the customize button. You’ll find the scope (marked as SCOPE [3X]) under the Optic options.

 Thanks, Battlelog.
