Xbox One error messages don’t provide a lot of details

Uh... more details, Microsoft?

Uh… more details, Microsoft?

Many bought the launch edition of Microsoft’s newest console, the Xbox One, and of those, several have probably encountered some of Microsoft’s error messages that don’t really give much information.

One of these can be seen above. It states, “Choose something else to play. Because of your past behavior, you can’t Xbox Live Gold is required to use Skype for Xbox One.” This message, if we forget the fact that it isn’t very detailed (the guy who posted it at Twitter (via Kotaku) stated that he encountered it after swearing in Skype), makes no real sense at all.

Another error message that appears in the new console is simple and to the point, but again, not very detailed. It simply states, “Something went terribly wrong. Please come back later.” Finally, we have a message relating to Killer Instinct, which at least comes with an error code. “Please try again. For some reason Killer Instinct took too long to start. (0x8027025a)”

What do you think of Microsoft’s new error messages? Do you wish they were more detailed so that you could (possibly) fix what’s wrong?
