Network dedicated to the sport of video gaming coming soon.
Those who insist that video gaming isn’t a sport may want to stay away from MLG.tv. This is an Internet-broadcast network that will showcase the league’s major events, broadcasting a studio show complete with highlights and news, just like real sports get.
The boradcast will stream up to 1080p high-definition video, and subscribers to the free channel will see an improvement compared to the events streamed in the past. The eSports Report, which you can see above, will be aired on Thursdays, and will recap the week’s news and events.
The programming itself will be “a TV-like linear programming schedule,” and the network will egin broadcasting this weekend with the MLG Championships. This will include the first Call of Duty: Ghosts tournament as well as an international DOTA 2 tournament. They will run from Friday at 5 PM to Sunday.
They have a few partners in this venture, and will air shows from OpTic Gaming (a Call of Duty team) as well as the European league Gfinity.
What do you think of this new network?
