Download the PlayStation 4’s Day 1 patch today

PS4 to cost almost $2000 in Brazil.

Sony is letting gamers get a head start for the PlayStation 4, as the company is allowing for the download of the Day 1 patch onto a USB drive, which will then update the console when it releases this Friday.

Looks like all you’ll need is 1GB of free space on the USB drive, but you’ll want to make sure that you update the console before you play any games or create accounts as they will be erased when updating this way.  Obviously the benefit though, will be not having to wait for the PS4 to download the patch by itself.

For full details on the process, check out Sony’s official blog.
